Consolidation Question to Appear on November 4, 2014 Ballot

The objection period concerning the petition to consolidate has expired.  With no objections filed, the question will officially appear on the November 4, 2014 ballot.  To see the official language of the consolidation question as it will appear on the ballot, click on the ‘consolidation OFFICIAL BALLOT’ file below.  The file is in Microsoft Word format.  It should be noted that if the consolidation questions passes, the “new community unit school district” as it is described, will take effect on July 1, 2015.  The final day of operation for Jamaica unit 12 and Catlin unit 5 would be June 30, 2015.  The creation of the “new community unit school district” would not create an additional taxing body.  It would replace the two separate taxing bodies (Jamaica unit 12 and Catlin unit 5) on July 1, 2015.
